I was deeply touched by your close relationship with your son in a man named dave. My dad left when I was seven; im 15 now and havent heard from him since. The world would be a much better place if every parent was as good as you and I wish I could have a dad like you.

David... I am shocked by the way you were treated. I have read every book you have written and your brother richards book. What you both went through was horrific!! I bow down to you both for getting through what you did. You are my hero David. I have never been through abuse but reading your books made me cry and feel like i was there! I cannot fathom what makes someone snap especially a mother towards her own child. God bless you in everything you do. xxx

The man called Dave is my heart soul and hero, I would love to know how to write because I too was had the life child abuse went on to a man that was abuse by I married my mother I would say to him. Sad but true it's all I knew. Dave is a true man I would love to shake his hand.

Wow, a lot of angry, bitter, cynical people on here. And so hateful! Shame on you! And a few obviously bitter exes!! I would really like to see how many of you could end up perfect human beings after going through half what this man has. The good news is that you all sound so crazy and hateful and spiteful and ugly, your nastiness just makes him appear more and more sane and well-adjusted. You people show the ugliness people carry around and how terrible things happen as a result of all that ugliness rotting away inside of you. You couldn't prove how easily a person could turn into a hateful raging abuser any better if you were trying to. I hope none of you haters here or anywhere else out there get this man down for a minute bc you are the spewing lowlifes that bring this world down. Shame on a whole lot of you.

Dave I just got done reading your book achild called it. Wow how inspirational to a lot of people and I being a victim of child abuse. I went through a lot of what you went through. My father was there and tried to help but it was pointless she had brainwashed me and my father both and no matter how bad the abuse mental,physical, or emotional its still child abuse and if you notice any such kind on a sibling friend or any child in this situation please go to the authorities you could possibly save a life

Please stop insulting him and referring to him as It. He has a name. He is a person who suffered terribly as a child. I hope that he has met someone who he loves and who loves him in return. I know this message will result in hatemail but please please respect this courageous man.
