I love this book so much I have read it 16 times! It did make me cry the first time I read it, but not any other times. I wish their was a sequel, but some other good books by Ruth White are The Search for Belle Prater and Belle Praters Boy. I HIGHLY recomend this book.

This book is one of the saddest books I have ever read. Does anyone think there should be a sequel? What do you think the sequel would include?

Just finished reading Buttermilk Hill and was wondering if the author started as a poet. I loved the poetry in the book. The character, Piper, is sensitive and "right-on" in her responses to others. Are there any other series on the Lamberts besides Weeping Willow?
