V.C. Andrews doesn't have a daughter. She was never even married. The ghost writer is a guy by the named Andrew Neiderman (who is also an author himself). Her brothers and their families are the ones responsible for continuing her legacy.

My elderly mother was an avid V.C. Andrews fan. When she discovered her books many years ago she started buying from local used book stores to feed her addiction and then waited impatiently for the next new book to be released. Unfortunately few years ago she could no longer read much more than an occasional magazine and the daily newspaper. Mom passed away last year at age 89 and I have been sorting through things to get her home ready to sell. Last week I came across a bookshelf full of V.C. Andrews books in a spare bedroom bookcase. I put them in copyright order in a stack, but wasn't aware that they may be from different series. I just today started investigating what the books are about, so I'll re-sort into series and probably start reading "Flowers In The Attic" next month when things should be settled. So cheers from my recently departed fan mother. I guess V.C. Andrews appealed to all ages!

i absolutely loved the Delia series it was filled with so much drama and i couldn't put it down this needs to be made into a movie it would make so much money and be a great movie series!! i am so sad that the series only has three books i totally fell in love with her and Adan,Ignacio,Edward,Jesse and even her Tia Isabela they were amazing and i am on the last book and want to read it slow because im sad its over. Yes, a lot of tragedies happened to her and it made me cry, however they (I believe) will defiantly make her stronger at the end of this series and i pray and hope they make these book series into a series of movies.

I too am a V.C. Andrews fan. These days, I’m not too thrilled with the stories. They seem to have lost their special quality and become quite predictable.
For a while I’ve been looking for another writer who writes with a similar style. I came across a new author on a V.C. Andrews fan site link. I think I will check out her book. It got some favorable reviews and she is said to write stories like Flowers in the Attic.

First of all v.c andrews is an amizing writer. You have to give credit to the ghost writer for the fact that he has to be as twisted and just wierd. I loved all of the book and i have read about fourty or more and i enjoyed every single one. The ghost writer has big shoes to fill and he is doing a great job. I give props to the ghost writer.

I live for the novels that were written by V.C Andrews. She is my favorite author of all times. I do disagree however with the negitive opinions against the ghoast writer. The last two books written in the Casteel series were very, very good...I feel he completed her story. The Cutler series I found were also very very good as well. He put so much into the characters of Jimmy and Dawn, I could'nt help but feel as though I really missed them after reading the final novel of that series. If we cant have V.C., I think that author will do...he's very good!!!

I love the Casteel series. I wish that the ghostwriters could start writing better stories and be up to par with the original V.C. Andrews. The newer books do not compare. And, I am in love with the character of Troy. OMG!! Why can't the new writers create a character that is that intense, gripping, and as mysterious and electrifying such as Troy! Man, what an intense and exciting character! And, what a great series! You just can't wait to find out what happens next.
