| Plot Summary of The Beloved Scoundrel |
"Teenaged Marianna Sanders is left alone to care for her younger brother after her mother is savagely raped & murdered. She is the lone survivor to carry the secret knowledge of the Jedalar, a stained glass masterpiece. When Jordan Draken discovers Marianna & her brother hiding in an abandoned village, he soon discovers that she is the key he has been searching for. He takes them with him, sure in his mind he can eventually get her to tell him what he needs to know. He pretends he is her guardian, & so it goes for a few years, as he restrains himself from his natural inclinations. By the time their relationship changes, they are in love...but how will they resolve the issue of the Jedalar without losing that love?"
