"Nyna grew up with her parents, untill the Carib attacked. Savages, who enjoyed killing other tribes. One night there is an attack on Nyna's tribe when she is about nine. Her parents get her to a canoe and give her a braclet that looks like the sun. But before she leaves she sees the terrifying event of her parents murders. Nyna is found by Joog on an island, he takes her to his tribe of the Ais. No one really accept
s her, espically Guacana. Now after living there for awhile and falling in love with Joog, which she knows could never work, Nyna is in trouble. The only way to get out of it is by love, and surviving all odds."
