Joe Fernwright is an out-of-work pot-healer who is hired by The Glimmung, a huge creature living on the Plowman's planet. Leaving the earthian repressive society, Joe must join several other craftsmen who will help The Glimmung to raise from the bottom of the ocean MARE NOSTRUM an ancient temple called Heldscalla. By doing so, peace will be brought back to the planet.
