"When Gavin is forced to marry a penniless orphan his father took under his wing, he does so but then leaves her in the countryside for almost two years while he goes to London and lives the life of a bachelor. Little does he know that his bride to be, Christine, is a beautiful and charitable woman, who wants nothing more than to be free of the marriage her benefactor forced upon her in his will and work for the poor. Thinking that creating a scandal at the height of the season will free her, Christine goes to do just that, and instead lands in the one place she'd rather not be- Gavin's arms. It's only after a few shocking facts come out that Gavin realizes how dear Christine is to him, and he prepares to give everything and anything for the wonderful, scandalous, saint."
