Plot Summary of After the Kiss

"After losing her husband in a firey blaze, Margaret has moved to the country and lived in squallor until she discovers a trunk that survived the fire that destroyed her livelihood- and the secrets it holds. When she attempts to sell the treasures inside the trunk- she meets a dashing earl, a man she knows she can only have in her dreams, who seduces her with the promise of a kiss- and possibly more. With a vengeful brother in law closing in on Margaret and her very life in danger- her lover Michael must make the choice between her life and his happiness, or the life he's always known.
