Plot Summary of Blindsight
"Blindsight is Robin Cook's set up for Contagion. Laurie Montgomery, a medical examiner, tries to prove that upscale overdose cases are overdoses. What she finds in the process is a wild ride. Dr. Cook masterfully sets up the characters and makes the reader part of the action. Dr. Cook, keep the great storylines coming from the New York City Medical Examiners office. "
Scott Pickle, Ph.D., Resident Scholar

"Medical Examiner Dr. Laurie Mongomery is faced with incoming rushes of bodies whose deaths are quite unexplained. She later finds that the bodies are being injected with cocaine, and these bodies are those of doctors, lawyers, and other higher working-class people. The deaths are connected to the mafia in New York City."
rebecca, Resident Scholar

"Laurie Montgomery, a medical examiner, tries her best to investigate a slew of cocaine related murders without trying to upset her bosses. She gets involved with an eye doctor, who is treating a mob boss. This mob boss has a way of getting what he wants, when he wants it. "
Zack Lindeman, Resident Scholar

"Medical Examiner Laurie Montgomery gets some drug overdose cases, which reminds her of her own brother who died because of drug overdose. All the overdose cases are people who are financially well-off. Her intution tells her these are not drug overdoses but they are actually murders. She later finds out she was correct, but she never expected this would put her own life at risk and one of the most wanted person in the list of US mafia.

A beautifully written story by Robin Cook, which forces us to think how the medical world is being manipulated by criminals to make money. "

Sunny, Resident Scholar
