| Plot Summary of How to Marry a Marquis |

"This is the sequel to "To Catch an Heiress" and deals with James, the Marquis of Riverdale and his masquerade as an overseer to help his aunt who's being blackmailed by an unknown source. After meeting his aunt's Companion, James knows that he's losing his heart to the woman caring for her entire family alone. But how long can he keep up the charade when he realizes Elizabeth is falling in love with a overseer who doesn't really exist?"

" James Sidwell, the Marquis of Riverdale, travels incognito to his aunt's home, Lady Danbury, to find the culprit who is blackmailing her. Elizabeth Hotchkiss is the companion of Lady Danbury, and she has taken responsibilty for her three younger brothers and sisters after the death of their father, including her youngest brother who has inherited the title of Baronet. Elizabeth realizes that she must marry soon, due to the lack of funds needed for her family's survival, as well as the need to send her brother to Eton, as generations of her family has done. As Elizabeth searches for a book to read to Lady Danbury, she finds a book called "How to Marry a Marquis", and decides to borrow it for a while, despite the fact that she feels foolish, as a guidebook for her to find a monied husband quick.
James, pretending to be the new estate manager, suspects Elizabeth to be the blackmailer at first, but soon discovers she is actually on the search for a husband after discovering her with the book. James, who is intrigued and attracted to Elizabeth, offers to help her catch a husband, even though he desires her himself. As Elizabeth and James grow closer, she wishes more than ever to follow her heart and marry the poor James instead.
Elizabeth and James finally admit they want each other, and decide to marry, but after they laid out their plans, Elizabeth discovers James' true identity and becomes angered, thinking he was mocking her the entire time. The two become embroiled in a quest for the truth, in love as well as finding the identity of the blackmailer."

"Elizabeth Hotchkiss is a twenty year old young wonmen whos father was a baron. She takes care of her four siblings and works for Lady Danbury as her campanion. Her father had pignored them after their mother's death. When he was found dead in the woods it was assumed as a hunting accicident, but Elizabeth knew better. Hotchkiss have been living in a tight spot for the last five years and they don't belive they will have enough money this year so they decide that the best course of action would be for Elizabeth to marry a wealthy man. One day she was at Lady Danbury's library and found what would become a very troublsome guidebook. Then a very handsome estate manager appears and Elizabeth falls in love. But she nows she could never marry a penniless estate manager. So "James Siddons" agrees to help Elizabeth to find a weathy man and marry him. What she doesn't know is that James Siddons is really James Sidwell, Marquis of Riverdale and that he plans to marry her himself. But a misunderstanding leads to other misfutunes and our characters are in a very confused state."
