A young mouse's home is invaded by a huge army of warrior rats, lead by a deadly slayer. Fighting for justice and freedom, a young and innocent mouse risks everything to find the fabled sword and armour of Martin the Warrior, the founder of Redwall. This is his friends only hope, and by taking up the challenge he becomes... the warrior of Redwall.

Cluny is coming! The huge, evil rat is going to attack Redwall Abbey. Matthias, a small mouse with a warrior's spirit, longs to be a hero. All on a journey to save Redwall, Matthias recovers a sword gone for centuries, regains Redwall Abbey's greatest treasure, discovers a hidden grave, and learns a secret about himself, all on his successful quest to save Redwall Abbey and become a hero.
