"A semi-retired journalist Multi million or billionaire Jim Qwilleran goes "down below"(what the natives of Pickax call the city) with his 2 siamese cats to restore the Casablanca. He finds some clues to a murder of an art dealer and with the help of Koko(his cat) solves the crime."

"Qwill has two very smart cats. When Qwill moves into the city, which he calls junktown, to help out a friend save an old apartment building the cats are not happy about it. They don't realize it's only temporary. However, the apartment that he is staying in had a recent murder that he finds himself wrapped up in. The cats help in untangle the mystery of this murder by finding the clues hidden around the apartment. The residents in the building are very colorful and want to save the building from wreckage by an organization that wants to put up a new building. You'll have to read the book yourself to find out if these brilliant cats help Qwill catch the murderer before it's to late to save the old apartment building."

"When Jim Qwilleran is asked to use his wealth and influence to help save and restore an old historical apartment building in the city, he readily accepts. In order to check out the place, he moves in with his two clever cats, who immediately start behaving strangely. Fixing up the building looks like it will be a major project, and it's not helping that the owner, a sweet old lady, is living in the past and doesn't understand what's going on. Qwilleran scents trouble when he finds out that the woman who started the organization that wants to save the building was murdered in his apartment, and Koko the cat is clearly trying to tell him something. It takes a lot of detective work and some hints from Koko before Qwilleran can solve the mystery."
