"Psychology student Chyna Shepherd visits her best friend Laura Templeton's family's house in Napa Valley, California. Her first night there, she can't sleep. A killer named Edgler Foreman Vess enters the house and kills everyone inside but Chyna. Thinking Laura is alive when she sees Vess put her in the back of his motor home, Chyna attempts to save her friend, and goes in the motor, but discovers that Laura is dead. Before she can escape the motor home, it starts moving, and Chyna is trapped with Vess, and soon discovers that Vess has kept a 16-year-old girl named Ariel in his basement for a year, and Chyna is the only one who can save her."
Steven, Resident Scholar

"Chyna Shepard had a very hard and emotionally distressful upbringing and she opened up to no one. The only friend she ever knew and trusted was Laura. Chyna traveled home with Laura for spring break and while staring out the window during her sleepless night, Chyna heard something strange. It sound like an intruder, and reverting back to childhood she immediately hid under the bed. The intruder had slaughtered the whole family in their sleep and the only one spared was Chyna.

She refused to allow this man to get away with this and hid in the back of his motor home two rotting bodies. She was terrified of what would happen if he found her, but even more terrified of what would happen if she didn't stop this man from hurting any one else. She embarked on an adventure filled with terror and more death than she had ever even seen in the movies. When she realized that this man was hiding a sixteen year old girl in his basement her terror and her courage were the only things she had left. She would save this girl if it was the very last thing she did. "
