Plot Summary of Roman Blood
"Set in the Roman Republic, Gordinianus the Finder is hired by Cicero to find the killer of a Roman citizen. Cicero is currently defending the man's son who is accused of patricide and faces a horrible death. The trial and investigation takes place during the time when Sulla is dictator and Gordianus finds himself involved in events that are as dangerous politically as they are personally."
