Plot Summary of Moving Target
"A year ago someone murdered Serena Charters' grandmother Lisbeth by burning the elderly woman's cabin with her inside it. Though no one has been caught, California finally releases the estate to Serena as the only known member of Lisbeth's family. Serena inherits some small property, a Swiss bank account, a safety deposit box, and four pages from a centuries-old text that should have contained six hundred vellum sheets.

Serena turns to medieval manuscript expert Erik North to verify the value of the four sheets from the Book of the Learned and to assist her in finding the rest of the pages. Serena and Erik feel as if they know each other though they are meeting for the first time. They also have a powerful attraction towards one another, but before they can see where it leads them or where it originated from, they soon find themselves as MOVING TARGETS of a killer who wants to own the Book of the Learned.

Elizabeth Lowell is known for her strong characters and her latest tale includes two stalwart lead protagonists. The story line is fast-paced and loaded with non-stop action except for the occasional unnecessary diversion that adds nothing to a packed novel. The information on rare books is clearly researched and fully incorporated into the plot without missing a beat, adding depth to the novel. Fans of Ms. Lowell and those who enjoy a powerful romantic suspense with a touch of the paranormal will find MOVING TARGET a bewitching story.
