This story starts in Montreal with Dr Temperance Brennan digging for a long dead corpse in a legal grave. Then her cases escalate, a household fire in Montreal reveals seven bodies, two charred beyond recognition, then two more are found in a shallow grave in the Carolinas. Reichs has a great skill in bring her cases together even the exhumation of a nun is connected to the mass murders that seem to be coming to her lab."
