| Plot Summary of Had We Never Loved |
"The second book in The Tales of the Jewelled Men series.
Lord Horatio Glendenning was completely unaware of the danger he was in when he fell in love with the beautiful but wild gypsy girl, Amy Consett. When he was badly injured in the woods, she nursed him back to health. Later, he determined to make her his wife despite all the disapproval he was sure he would come up against. Meanwhile, the law was planning to take Tio to task for helping the Jacobites when they attempted to overthrow the King. They were tipped off by some unknown person as to Tio's involvement in the rebellion. With the help of his friends and his dearest love, he attempted to escape the hangman's noose."
Laura J. Miller, Resident Scholar
