| Plot Summary of The Cradle Will Fall |
"This book is about a woman who has taken a sleeping pill and sees a crime in the process of happening. She is then not sure if she really saw it and then when she finds out she needs an operation, but thinks there is something fishy about her doctor. She investigates the doctor, who is apparently a miracle worker because he makes women who were said to not be able to have a child, conceive. Katie, the main character has to find out if what the doctor is doing is moral, before she goes under the knife herself."

"A woman gets in a car wreck and is placed in the hospital overnight. She hates being in hospitals and she can't sleep even though she is given sleeping pills. She thought she was just having a nightmare when she sees a woman's face through a sheet being put in a trunk of a vehicle. She is frightened by this to come to find out that this woman has been found dead the next day with the evidence of committing suicide. The main character Katie DeMaio, a crime investigator and lawyer, tries to find evidence that she didn't commit suicide. The investigators try to put the guilt on the husband's back, but he is not guilty. With two other people dying out of the ordinary they have come to the conclusion that something fishy is going on at the hospital. This "amazing" doctor has somehow been able to give babies to women who could never have babies but all of a sudden become pregnant. When Katie comes to find out she's going to have to have emergency surgery at this hospital she doesn't think anything of it until she gets a very weird feeling at the hospital that something weird is going on. Before long she finds out that the doctor is trying to kill her."
