| Plot Summary of The Winter Bride |
"Two murders occurred twenty years before Charity Carew arrived at Malmaynes. The murderer was given the name, "the Beast of Malmaynes." It was widely believed that the murderer had leapt to his death before the authorities were able to execute him for his crimes. As Charity became more and more involved emotionally with her boss and idol, the poet, Martin Revesby, she started noticing strange, frightening things happening all around her. As more mysterious murders were committed, she became more and more sure that the Beast was still alive. Would she be able to discover the truth...before it was too late?"
Laura J. Miller, Resident Scholar
