| Plot Summary of Cookie Cutter |
"This is a first book - and quite a good one. It takes place mainly in Detroit, with early points in Alabama. A fairly well to do black funeral director in Alabama takes advantage of a young wihte girl who comes back to him 8 months later - 8 months pregnant. She dies during delivery and he concocts a story about the baby and winds up adopting him. Then, flash forward to a series of racial murders taking place in and around Detroit. Learn who the killer is, and why he's on his mission."
Joeli Jackson, Resident Scholar
