| Plot Summary of Mister God This Is Anna |
"If this were a work of fiction, it would have sunk without trace as an absurdity. However, truth being stranger than fiction, this is a compelling, truth-telling tale of a girl intelligent and wise beyond normal reckoning. Anna, age five and physically abused, has run from home and is on the street. She is 'adopted' into Fynn's family. These are the words of six-year-old Anna. "The diffrense from a person and an angel is easy. Most of an angel is in the inside and most of a person is on the outside." She 'was a theologian, mathematician, philosopher, poet and gardener...She never made eight years'. It would be hard not to be deeply affected by this book. I found it hard not to cry at her death at the end, and I am not sure I succeeded."

"Fynn, a young man in 30's London, is "adopted" by a 4-5 year old orphan named Anna. This book describes their few short years together, as Anna develops her philosophy of life and love and people and religion and Mister God, her great friend. She shows astounding insight into these things as she develops with Fynn's help. She decides what is important, and what isn't, and manages to boil it all down to "love me, love you, and love Mister God". "
