| Plot Summary of Paris Hangover |
"Leaving behind her ultra-wealthy boyfriend and career as a New York fashion designer, Klein packs up her clothes and her cat to pursue her dreams of living in Paris, becoming a painter, and finding a man willing to settle down. Almost immediately upon arrival, she comically endures one mishap after another as she struggles to settle in an apartment, take in the sights, and learn a new language. She then embarks on a hilarious journey in the Parisian dating scene, encountering a variety of intriguing Frenchmen: the cad Gilles, sexy Nico with the beastly temper, manic-depressive Alexandre, bad-breath Charles, the three Jeans, and other lusty and complicated liaisons.
Through it all, Klein adjusts to the quirks of French culture, including getting slammed into on a daily basis by French women on the street, and putting up with typical French snootiness in general. She gives in completely to her love of Paris, and begins her new career as an artist, exploring new techniques in painting and selling them in galleries. But the pitfalls of dating combined with the sudden appearance of her ex-boyfriend force her to think about what she left behind, and she must choose between a life that is comfortable, and a life she has always wanted.
