| Plot Summary of The Dragon Lord's Daughters |
"Merin Pendragon is a descendent of the legendary King Arthur thru his illegimate son protected by Merlin. He has a wife and 2 conubines all of whom he loves. These relationships have given him his heir and 3 daughters. Time has come to arrange marriages for his daughters.
Averil is his eldest daugher and illegitimate.Her mother is Merin's favorite. She wants to marry a powerful lord. One day while walking with her sisters Rhys FitHugh and a friend sees her and mistakenly believes her to be Merin's only daugher and kidnaps her. Even though he has taken a daughter that comes with no land in her dowry he does the honorable thing and marries her. Now he has to convince her that he loves her.
Maia, the only legitimate daughter, is visited by a man in her dreams and falls in love with him. He appears faceless but she knows that he will come for her and she will know him on sight. When he arrives she marrys him and is taken to his home. She learns there that he is part fairy part human and only an undying love will allow him to become completely human. She must prove her love and worthyness to the Lady of the Lake, his fairy mother, and wife to Lancelot of the Round Table. While her husband is 25 years old, he has been 25 for several centuries. This is no small task. It takes her several weeks to prove her love and free her husband.
Junia falls in love with Simon, son of Merin's sworn enemy and a cruel man. She and Simon do not learn of the mutual hatred of their families until they declare their love to their families. Simon's father follows him the day Simon goes to Junia to sever their hopeless relationship and kidnaps Junia and her brother and forces Simon to rape Junia in front of his soldiers and her brother. He then take Junia back to his castle to be Simon's whore. Merin must rescue his son and daugher. He knows he must kill his enemy and because Simon did not protect Junia from the kidnapping and rape he must also kill Simon. Will Junia ever forgive him and will she ever consent to a second marriage? "
