Plot Summary of Riding The Storm
"When Jayla Cole attends a business conference in New Orleans the last person she is expecting to run into is sexy fireman Storm Westmoreland. Since she was sixteen years old Jayla has had a massive crush on Storm, one that was unrequited. Since Jayla's deceased father Adam was Storm's mentor, Storm was a constant fixture around Jayla's home while growing up. Now, while attending a Fire Captains conference, Storm comes face to face with a gorgeous, 26 year old Jayla. Storm is a legendary lover, one who has a reputation for bedding a woman, , then moving on to the next conquest. Although Jayla still has the hots for Storm, she has no intention of being his next lover. Jayla has been burned by love in the past and she has no intention of going down that road again. Furthermore, Jayla has made plans to be artificially inseminated at a sperm bank so that she can give birth to the child she desperately craves. Although Jayla is wary about spending time around Storm, she agrees to spend the day with him touring New Orleans and spending lazy moments on a riverboat cruise. As major sparks fly between Jayla and Storm, they decide to prolong the fun and go for dinner and dancing. When things heat up between them on the dance floor, they impulsively decide to take things back to their hotel. Storm is shocked to discover that Jayla is a 26 year old virgin and he grills her about her decision to give up her virginity to him. Jayla explains to Storm that she has been hurt in her past and that by being with him she can lose her virginity to a close friend who she knows wants nothing serious. Storm finds himself shaken by his encounter with Jayla due to the fierce emotions she has raised within him. Having been hurt in the past by a money grubbing lover, Storm has always put a shield on his heart. As both Storm and Jayla separately make their way back to their lives in Atlanta, neither of them can stop thinking about the other. Storm finds himself knocking on Jayla's door and reigniting their passion. Jayla agrees to continue her sexual relationship with Storm, but lets him know that when she says the word their relations are over. As Storm lets down his defenses and starts falling in love with Jayla, she stubbornly refuses to believe that a womanizer like Storm could fall for a woman like herself. As fate intervenes and hands Jayla joyous news, she finds herself forced to chase after the man she has pushed away."
