" Bette Davis was one of the biggest stars in Hollywood history. Her only biological child was a daughter named Barbara Davis, but was referred to as "B.D." for short. B.D. grew up in a world of privilege surrounded by Hollywood glamour, and lived a life that most people could only dream about. B.D. began to feel that this type of lifestyle was unfulfilling, and that her mother was little more than a child trapped in an adult's body. Bette Davis had a severe drinking problem, which caused B.D. great distress. Bette Davis allowed her daughter to get married at the tender age of 16 to a 29 year old man, and B.D., her husband, and her sons were all financially dependent on Bette.
Bette Davis was forced to work past her prime in order to support her daughter's family. Bette Davis would suffer two strokes, and a mastectomy due to cancer, and B.D. suddenly began to fear that Bette would no longer be able to work, so she decided to cash in just as so many other children of celebrities do.
