Plot Summary of Brother Odd
"   Odd Thomas, in his third appearance, is residing in St. Bartholomew's monastery. He is dwelling in the monastery to escape from the hellish events of his recent past, that have been described in his other appearances, and to gain some measure of peace and serenity.
His quiet existence is rudely interrupted as he spies a bodach. (A bodach is a spirit that lingers near people that are about to die.)

That night, he is chased by an unseen assailant and stumbles over a dead monk. He informs his friend Brother “Knuckles” Salvatore of the attack and his discovery of the dead body. Knuckles looks around and discovers identifies the dead person as Brother Timothy. Odd checks on the children in the hospital and discovers that one girl acts as a link between the world of the dead and living. He is able to briefly communicate with his dead girlfriend stormy.

Not knowing how to proceed, Odd goes to speak with the Mother Superior. This conversation draws his attention to a man who is a major benefactor of the hospital and monastery. Brother John Heinman, a reclusive researcher, describes the work he is currently doing and Odd asks if these experiments could endanger the children.

The police have been summoned. But, they can not find the body of the dead monk. Odd then meets the mysterious Rodion Romanovich . This man is not all he seems. But, is he guilty of murder ? Odd goes back out into the snow. He is chased by something or someone. This pursuit by an unidentified entity convinces Odd that the children should be relocated.

Odd and some of his monk friends attempt to evacuate the children before they are attacked by the creature. Will the children escape unscathed? Who is behind the attacks and why ?
