Plot Summary of The Maiden Bride
"Revenge.

Axton de la Manse invaded her home, wounded her brother, caused her father to lose his mind, and married her. It was the match of a lifetime. Granted, he did have cause for his pain, Linnea knew. Her family had killed his father and brothers and had taken that home away from him. But she didn't like it.

Linnea de Valcourt, cursed as the second twin and therefore, the cure of her family, craved to be wanted, loved. That was why she had agreed to her hatful Grandmother's plan.

She was to save her sister from marrying Axton and save her family's position as owner of the land they'd once stolen, by taking her place.

Axton, who felt only the need for revenge and justice, hated Linnea with a passion. He did not understand why he started to have feelings for a former de Valcourt. The only thing he really needed to keep his claim on the land and property was to coap with her presence. But every time she was near him he felt himself soften towards her.

Linnea, who was falling for Axton and wished that he would see her for herself and not her sister, felt for his pain and suffering. And, wondered how much longer she could betray him."
