"Faith McBride is a plus-sized African American woman living in Santa Fe and successfully running her family's hotel, Casa Serenidad. Although Faith has a wonderful life and two loving brothers, Cameron and Duncan, the one thing she is missing in her life is love. Ever since Faith was a teenager she has been madly in love with gorgeous Brandon Grayson, her brother's best friend. Faith can't forget all the high school dances that Brandon escorted her to when she didn't have a date. Although Faith loves Brandon with a passion, Brandon merely regards her as a friend. Brandon Grayson has no intention of settling down into marriage like his brothers Luke and Pierce. Brandon's mother is desperate to play matchmaker for him and find him a wife, just as she did with his two brothers. Brandon wants nothing to do with his mother's matchmaking schemes. Brandon is content running his thriving restaurant, the Red Cactus, and enjoying close relationships with his four siblings. Faith decides that she will wage a war to win Brandon's heart and to make him see her in a new light. Faith calls her plan Operation Brandon and begins pursuing him step by step. As Faith begins to dress in a more flattering fashion that compliments her curves and begins dating with a vengeance, Brandon suddenly finds himself jealous of Faith's romantic life. Suddenly, Brandon finds himself looking at Faith in a whole new light. As Brandon makes a move on Faith that leads to unexpected passion, Brandon finds himself falling for his childhood friend. Being Brandon's woman is bliss for Faith, until Brandon discovers that Faith "set him up" to fall in love with her. As Faith's dream crashes and burns it may take a little matchmaking to bring Faith and Brandon back into each other's arms. "
