| Plot Summary of The Key to the Golden Firebird |
"Mayzie has two sisters, Brooks (the older, beautiful, and messed up one) and Palmer (the younger, and sportier one). She thinks their father likes them better because they're athletic like him and she's just smart.
But when their father dies, everything falls apart.Mayzie is left to fend for herself while her other two sisters deal with their own problems. This means that Mayzie has to deal with a job, school, her mother, learning how to drive, and falling in love with her best friend, Pete. And that's just the start of it.
But in the end, the girls learn that together they can make it through all their problems, even deciding to bury their father's ashes at a baseball stadium. "
