Plot Summary of B More Careful
"Netta Jackson is an African American young woman growing up in the rough projects of Baltimore, Maryland. Having been abandoned by her father Dollar, and raised by her drug-addicted mother, Renee, Netta hasn't had much to believe in during her lifetime. Renee is abusive towards Netta and is resentful of her daughter's youth and good looks. When an elderly neighbour, Miss Mae, takes an interest in Netta, the young girl begins to believe that someone cares for her. When Miss Mae is killed in a violent attack, Netta is upset. At this point Netta decides that she is going after what she wants in her life, by any means necessary. Although Netta has a 3.7 grade average, she isn't interested in going to college or furthering her studies. During a trip to New York City Netta is caught boosting stolen items from a department store and is rescued from arrest by a beautiful young woman named Mimi. Mimi, who is also from Baltimore, becomes Netta's best friend. Along with Mimi, Netta forms a group called the Pussy Pound, which is comprised of beautiful women who are all seeking to connect themselves to Baltimore hustlers who have money to spread around. Netta's main ambition in life is to secure money, jewelry, status and cars for herself. Suddenly, Netta meets Black, a local drug dealer with plenty of cash and ambition. Black falls head over heels in love with Netta. When Black discovers that Netta is only out for the cash and benefits, he is filled with a murderous fury. As Black plans a deadly revenge against Netta she must use all of her street smarts in order to save herself from death."
