| Plot Summary of Becoming Esperanza Rising |
"Esperanza and her mom run away to the United States in search for a new life away from her uncle's threats. Esperanza's uncle wants to get married with her mom and threatens them if Esperanza's mom doesn't get married with him he's gonna take away their farm.
Esperanza lives in Mexico, on a ranch called “El Rancho De Las Rosas,” and on her birthday her dad died, the last thing he got to say to her was “Happy birthday my daughter.” Then comes Esperanza's uncle who wants to get married with Esperanza's mom. Her uncle even threatens them he'll take away their ranch. Esperanza's mom had no other choice but to leave El Rancho De Las Rosas. That meant Esperanza had to leave her luxurious home and life to start from scratch. Throughout many days Esperanza missed he grandma most of all, they didn't have enough money to take her with them. One day Alfonzo, a guy that used to work in her farm and also helped Esperanza start over again, brought Esperanza's grandma with the money orders Esperanza has been saving to do the exact same thing. Everyone was back together except for Esperanza's dad who will always lie in their heart. In the end everyone, even Esperanza's mom, was fine where they were but they hoped for the best."
