Plot Summary of The Wedding Trap
"    Eliza Hammond is a dowdy young woman on the verge of spinsterhood. Her mean aunt, who has been her guardian since the age of eleven has died and in a weird twist, has left Eliza with a sizable estate. Eliza has decided to finally assert herself a marry because she wants a family and children, and she decides to use her inheritance to smooth the way. Violet, her best friend, comes up with a brilliant solution in finding Eliza a husband that is honorable. Violet suggests that her brother-in-law, Kit, who very popular in society, help Eliza with a makeover and give her tips on finding a good husband among the ton. What Violet does not know is that Eliza has secretly had a crush on Kit for years.
   Lord Christopher "Kit" Winter cannot believe he has gotten roped into helping Violet's friend. He has known Eliza for years and hopes her inheritance will catch her a husband fast, so he may go on his merry way. When Kit has Eliza's appearance overhauled, he cannot believe the difference, her once dowdy looks blossoming into beauty. As he begins to giver her "lessons" on being socially successful, he finds himself falling for her wit and quiet charm, so when suitors begin lining up at her door, he begins to feel jealous.
    As their lessons turn into love "lessons" their mutual attraction turns into love, and Kit decides to ask Eliza to be his wife, only she thinks he is offering from a since of obligation. The couple must work their way through her misgivings, not to mention a persistant suitor before they can find love and happiness."
