Plot Summary of The Wedding Ultimatum
"When wealthy socialite Danielle Alboa is facing near bankruptcy, she turns to wealthy businessman Rafe Valdez for help. She wants to ask Rafe to extend their loans until they can pay up. But Rafe shocks her with his proposal: that she marries him and give him a child in return all her debts will be paid and she can have all her belongings returned. Danielle is furious for Rafe has been calculating when he said that after rearing their child for 7 years, she can get a divorce. But present problems eventually push her to the Rafe's marriage proposal. As his wife, Danielle has to endure Rafe's insatiable lust although he stirs in her great passion which she resents. She is to play as Rafe's host and she is to be present in every function Rafe attends. Sometimes Danielle resents Rafe's domineering ways but generally their marriage has a companionable atmosphere between them. Danielle is able to do work and help her mother and she is free from the financial burdens that she has always carried in the past.
Rafe has been watching Danielle for years. He has followed Danielle's plummet to near bankruptcy. He intentionally wants to marry Danielle for she presents great strength, integrity and honesty that he finds lacking with other women. He wants his children to have those same qualities.
Their marriage gets difficult when a past lover of Rafe's turns vengeful. She doesn't confide to Rafe until she is nearly hurt. Rafe is furious with her for her omission to tell him about the vindictive woman. Rafe's attentiveness and passion for Danielle makes her grow in love with him. However she is always reminded of their bargain and doesn't trust his feelings for her. She gets pregnant 2 months later and she is afraid about the execution of their marriage bargain. She wants to see her child grow but the bargain tells her that she is to walk away after the child reaches 7 years of age. When she gets hurt from an accident, it is only then when she learns of Rafe's true feelings for her. "
