Plot Summary of Overload
"It was a very hot day to be working inside the office. Elizabeth Majors however is working on an important account. Too busy to notice the time and with a radio broadcast of heatwave during the day, she spends a long time in the office not knowing that only 2 people are left in the building: her and Tom Quinlan. Suddenly the building is thrown into a black-out which according to the news has swept the whole city. The building automatically shut down and locked. Added to her frustration, she needs to cooperate with Tom to survive through the heat wave. She avoids Tom as much as possible. They have had a relationship a year ago. But she has broken it off when she finds out that Tom has investigated her and has been subtly dominating her life while being evasive about his life. She has just gotten out of that kind of relationship from her ex-husband. She doesn't want to be out of control of her life again. So she broke off with Tom without explanations and since then has completely avoided him although they work in the same floor. However the unexpected circumstance has brought honesty about their feelings. Tom demands the reason why she left him. Elizabeth frankly tells him that she doesn't want to be handled nor want a man who is so elusive. Amidst their frustration for each other, passion burns and they quickly satiate their sexual appetite for each other. When the crisis has passed and they are finally able to go home, Elizabeth fears that nothing has changed in their relationship after being honest. She thinks that all Tom wants from her is her body how they are great in bed together. But Tom proves her wrong by giving her his personal file thus opening his life to her which translates into confessing his love for her.
