| Plot Summary of The Cold Moon |
"Lincoln Rhyme, the quadriplegic NYC detective fights the latest criminal mastermind killer dubbed he Watchmaker. Bodies start showing up across the city with old wolrd clocks left at the gruesome crime scenes. Rhyme kicks into action with his team as they collect evidence and postulate on the motives by what is and isn't found at the crime scenes. A lucky break comes when they get a witness who was caught propositioning a prostitute. Enter into the picture a kinesics expert visiting from California named Kathryn Dance who grills that witness, getting crucial information out of him. Meanwhile, Rhymes partner Amelia Sachs is investigating the apparent suicide of a wealthy man named Ben Creely. The dual storylines intersect when Sachs finds out that her father and ex-fiance might both be dirty cops and Rhyme bounces around suspecting several people of being The Watchmaker. The story shifts points-of-view from the killer, to Rhyme, to Amelia Sach's."
