Plot Summary of Shadows of Trickle Creek
"Adrienne Pierce has grown up in the small town of Trickle Creek, Texas, training horses for Elizabeth Devlin, a wealthy eccentric. Elizabeth's grandson, Nowell, assaulted Adrienne a few years ago, and left town to avoid punishment. Nowell is returning to Trickle Creek, and Adrienne has to make a decision. The morning of Nowell's return, his grandmother dies mysteriously, and Adrienne becomes the prime suspect.

Trying to investigate the murder on her own, Adrienne finds herself having to get close to Nowell. Chief Deputy Simon Gray believes Adrienne is innocent, and together, they work to find the real murderer, but uncover some painful secrets from Adrienne's past."
