Plot Summary of Have Your Cake and Kill Him Too
"Old East Coast money opened doors for the Blackbird daughters all their lives, until their parents swindled and cheated their way to a tax-free life in a foreign country. They left oldest daughter Libby with the furniture, youngest Emma with the art collection and middle sister Nora with the family home with a $2 million outstanding tax bill. To make a living, Nora writes a society column for the newspaper and sold five acres of family land to Michael Abruzzo, son of a well known mobster. They began a love affair.

Delilah, an acquaintance of Nora's in the event-planning business, is accused of shooting the stepfather of one of Nora's childhood friends with an arrow, killing the much hated man. Nora's search to discover the identity of the killer leads her through poisened cupcakes, the search for two missing boys, a crooked politician, the realization of her true love for Michael and the identity of the person who shot the deadly arrow.
