Plot Summary of Secrets of a Pregnant Princess
"Princess Samira flies to Montebelle to search for her lover Desmond Caruso with her bodyguard Farid Nasir. Months earlier, the couple has rendevous and become lovers escaping from Samira's watchful bodyguards. But the tryst results in an unwanted pregnancy. Samira innocently believes that Desmond is the man for her and will be happy to marry her once he finds out she's with child. When she is ready to meet him, she finds him kissing and embracing a lady, whom she guesses is his lover. Devastated she confides to her bodyguard about her plight. Farid honorably offers her marriage in name only to save her reputation. At first Samira is hesitant to accept Farid's proposal because she thinks that Farid is very rigid and boring. But when she gets to know him she finds him attractive and liking his personality. Farid feels attracted to Samira the first time he has been assigned to her as her bodyguard. But sense of duty and honor control his attraction for her. When she confesses her pregnancy problem to him, his honor and fondness for her prompt him to propose marriage. Farid is unbelievable that he, a commoner, will marry a princess – a princess whom he likes and is attracted to. When they spend more time together, they find that they're compatible with each other. They sleep together and find happiness in their intimacy. However Samira and Farid still need to deal with Samira's father who is strict with his children. When they return back to Samira's land in Tamir and break the news of their marriage to her father, King Ahmed is furious. He fires Farid from his job, a job he loves and exiles him to his house preventing him from seeing Samira.
Samira is heartbroken but not discouraged. She loves Farid and knows that he loves her too. So she joins Farid in his house ignoring her father's ire. Farid begins to believe that Samira will never contradict her father until he sees her in his doorstep. However more trouble comes their way as Farid has been suspected of murdering Desmond Caruso when Desmond has been found dead one morning. But lack of evidence and with a strong alibi free Farid of the charge. Seeing that there is no way of keeping the matter of Desmond hushed from her parents, Samira tells her parents the truth about Desmond. Sheik Ahmed sees Farid in a different light. He apologizes to him and welcomes him to the family seeing that Farid is honorable and loves his daughter very much. He also gives Farid back his bodyguard position.
