"Asher Wolfe has finally returned to the tennis circuit after retiring for 3 years. She comes back to do the thing that she loves most – tennis. However she also needs to confront the only man she has loved and will ever love Ty Starbucks, who is also a professional tennis player and has been her lover 3 years past. Everyone has thought that she has retired from tennis to be Lady Wickerton, wife of a titled man. But now that she's back, media is more focus on how she's going to bring back her past glory. Asher has been dubbed as “The Face” for her arresting beauty and cool temper. She has won her first title when she is only 17. Always being accompanied by her equally famous father and retired pro tennis player, everyone's wondering why he isn't with her now. But Asher brushes off all the questions and plays to win.
Ty has been in love with Asher ever since she was 17 and he 23. When she has turned 21, he stopped being honorable and pursues her seriously. They have become lovers for almost a year. He is devastated when Asher suddenly and without a word left him and married another man. He is left with all the questions, bitterness and most of all yearning for the woman he has lost. Now that she's back, he intends to keep her for real. But first he needs to wear down her resistance and defenses against him.
Asher knows that Ty and her will become lovers inevitably being in close proximity with each other. The passion that burns between them is still alive and runs deeper. Ty welcomes Asher back in his arms in return that he doesn't ask Asher of the past. Even though Asher refuses to confess the past, the events which has happened 3 years ago reveal itself in the present. 3 years ago, Asher has been wildly in love with Ty until his sister convince her that Ty doesn't really love her and is tired of her. She runs away from Ty without saying a word and run to the arms of Eric Wickerton, who has selfish adoration for her. 2 months after she has married Eric, she has miscarried and Eric is furious to discover that it has been Ty's child. The marriage gets rocky from there until they finally divorce. However Eric is not through with hurting Asher yet. He spreads the lie to her father that she has intentionally aborted her child. Her father refuses to speak to her after that. When Ty finds out later Eric's tale, he is furious with Asher and breaks things off with her. Asher is devastated but accepts it as her punishment. However an encouragement from her estranged father gives her the boost to go after Ty and tell him her feelings.
