| Plot Summary of Plague of Terror |
"Dr. Severin becomes entangled in a murder investigation when a former Navy SEAL buddy is accused of the crime. In the process of proving his friends innocence, a terrorist plot to reveal a dangerous bio-weapon in the USA is discovered.
Soon, a New York City detective, homeland security and other agencies begin a global hunt for the weapon. In a unexpected development, Severin and Detective Sloan asks for help from the a mafia don who has access to a worldwide underground information network.
Although the combination of underworld influence and government authority seems to be an unlikely partnership, fear of the bio-weapon becomes an overriding motivation to cooperate.
A series of leads takes the group from container ships in lower Manhattan, to high-speed car chases across Long Island, to a sleeper-cell apartment in Queens.
