| Plot Summary of From Avinger to Iroquois Street |
"Newlyweds, Louise and Dennis Clark travel to California from a boring farm town in Texas in the 1950's in search of a better life. They move into a coach house in LA and discover a hidden treasure.
Two ex-cons arrive on the scene in search of this treasure. Louise is suspicious of the men and she tries to convince her husband that they are up to no good. Through her own investigation, she finds proof linking the men to the treasure. The younger ex-con is infatuated with Louise and he approaches her. She finds his behavior repulsive and conceals the encounter from her husband. To protect herself against the man, she carries a pocketknife in her purse.
The older ex-con is a retired gigolo and he uses his skills to manipulate the landlord and almost everyone he comes across. He controls his partner making his a valuable sidekick when it comes to using him for dirty deeds.
The ex-cons try to eliminate anyone who gets in their pathway of the hidden treasure. The young couple becomes the unlikely guardians of the treasure placing their lives in danger.
