| Plot Summary of The Desperate Mission - Last of the Jedi 1 |
"During his self imposed exile, Obi-Wan Kenobi is on Tatooine watching over an infant Luke Skywalker. In a cantina, he overhears some amazing news: Ferus Olin, former Jedi padawan who left the order, is alive and on Bellassa but being hunted by imperials. After a brief inner struggle, Obi-Wan determines to go there and help Ferus.
Ferus escaped prison but not cleanly. He was wounded and is now recovering under the care of Dona. Obi-Wan, with the help of Dr. Amie Attin, rescues Ferus' friend Roan Lands from the hospital where he's being treated after being drugged by the Imperials. Obi-Wan then breaks into the garrison to find out what the Imperials gave Roan. After obtaining the information, he reports back and Dr. Attin is able to save Roan. After some persuasion, Roan tells Obi-Wan Ferus is hiding in the mountain region of Arno.
Obi-Wan tracks down Ferus just in time to be attacked by two bounty hunters, including young Boba Fett. After an intense chase through some underground mining tunnels, Obi-Wan and Ferus make it back to Ussa and make plans to answer the Imperials ultimatum: give up Ferus or hundres of prisoners die. Young Trever Flume aids Obi-Wan and Ferus by stealing uniforms of imperials and prisoners from a laundry pile. With the help of the citizens of Ussa, Bellassa, the two Jedi throw the Imperials into confusion and manage to escape. Unfortunately, their escape is not clean: Boba Fett is tracking them."
