| Plot Summary of Sex, Scars and a Superheroine with Scoliosis |
"The superheroine of Sex, Scars and a Superheroine with Scoliosis is a smart, sassy and self-deprecating young woman who doesn't let the spinal condition Scoliosis get in the way of living her life to the full.
Diagnosed with Scoliosis while living in under-resourced Eastern Europe, she is encased in a plastic 'bucket' as part of her treatment. She migrates to Australia where she is taunted by the other children not only because of her bucket, but also because of her background.
The bucket does nothing to right the Scoliosis and eventually she has a titanium rod inserted in her back to straighten her spine.
This semi-autobiographical book is an innovative fusion of reality and fiction with razor-edge life observation. The book features more than 300 original pithy and sharp quotes on life, love and the universe. And so, the author proves dealing with Scoliosis has meant she's learnt some valuable lessons and become a stronger person."
