Plot Summary of Eye of the Beholder
"Glenna Hastings' business trip takes a violent detour when the plane she's on is hijacked by terrorists. Through a hail of gunfire, Glenna can only focus on one thing-the clear blue eyes of the man coming to save her. Master Sergeant Rafal Marek spirits Glenna away from the plane, only to be wounded in the attempt. Captured and separated from Eagle Squadron, Glenna and Rafe are taken to a compound hidden deep in the jungle.
On the cold concrete floor of their prison, Glenna cannot control the emotions pulsing within her. These may be her last hours on earth, and she is passionately drawn to the quiet, powerful man with the scarred face who saved her life. She begs Rafe to make love to her....
Rafe can't deny his attraction to this patrician beauty, and allows himself a taste of her sweetness. But what she feels at the moment is merely misdirected stress fueled by adrenaline. Providing they make it out of here alive, that's what army trauma psychologists will tell her. Besides, could any woman truly overlook his terribly scarred face?
Rafe and Glenna escape into the surrounding jungle. But Rafe has a bullet hole in his leg, and Glenna can barely walk. Exhaustion forces them to stop at a secluded oasis. There, Glenna will be challenged to save the life of the man she realizes she loves.
