| Plot Summary of Forest of Secrets: Warriors # 3 |
"Four clans of wild cats have shared the forest according to laws laid down by their powerful ancestor clans for as long as anyone can remember. Fireheart is still troubled by his knowledge that ThunderClan's deputy, Tigerclaw, has broken some of those laws in his quest for power. Fireheart decides he must prove Tigerclaw's disloyalty to Bluestar, the clan leader, before Tigerclaw can hurt ThunderClan. He talks to several different cats in his quest to find out more information about Tigerclaw. Something that one of the RiverClan warriors says confirms that Tigerclaw is guilty, but then she refers to some mystery surrounding some of the RiverClan cats who were brought into the clan as kittens many seasons ago. She confides in him that while those kittens where apparently found abandoned in the forest, she was able to smell ThunderClan's scent on them. Fireheart now has more questions than answers about this mystery, but decides that it is more important to let Bluestar know about Tigerclaw's disloyalty. He talks to Bluestar, but she is reluctant to believe him. Then he mentions the other mystery about the ThunderClan kittens and Bluestar is furious. She tells him to never bring these matters up again. Fireheart doesn't know what to do. He knows that Tigerclaw is dangerous, but he doesn't know how to expose him. Fireheart can't even confide in his best friend Graystripe anymore because Graystripe has fallen in love with a warrior from RiverClan. He is gone most of the time seeing Silverstream. Fireheart now worries about Graystripe's divided loyalties, especially when he learns that Graystripe and Silverstream are expecting kittens. Fireheart has no idea what will happen to them when their forbidden love is exposed. Somehow Fireheart must help Graystripe with his problems, and expose Tigerclaw before he hurts someone else. "
