| Plot Summary of A Dangerous Path: Warriors #5 |
"For generations, four clans of wild cats have shared the forest according to laws laid down by their powerful ancestor clans, but a new danger has arisen in the forest. Tigerclaw, former deputy of ThunderClan, has managed to take over ShadowClan and become their new leader. Fireheart is afraid that Tigerclaw will want revenge on his former clan, for exiling him. However, Fireheart is so busy helping his clan rebuild after a forest fire, that he doesn't have much time to worry about Tigerclaw. ThunderClan is also struggling to catch enough food, because the fire scared off most of the prey. Then one of the warriors scents a dog in their territory. When Fireheart talks to the clan leader, Bluestar, she is unconcerned. But Fireheart becomes worried when Bluestar seems to be forgetting things. Then she refuses to allow the warrior Longtail an apprentice, only because he was once a friend of the traitorous Tigerclaw. Then one of the warriors comes back with news of more dogs free in the forest. A pack of dogs could be devastating to all of the clans. Unfortunately Bluestar has only gotten worse and Fireheart has his paws full just keeping his clan safe and fed. If Bluestar continues to deteriorate the clan may not be able to defend itself. "
