Plot Summary of A Rogue's Embrace
"Sir Richard Blythe's family's estate was taken from them during the English Civil War. Now that the royal family has returned and reclaimed the throne, Richard, whose family were loyalists, wants his estate back. But it was sold to Elissa Longbourne's late husband, and now she has her young son live there. In an attempt to solve the problem, the king orders Elissa and Richard to wed so both can live there. The two are attracted to each other but resist falling in love. Meanwhile someone seems to be trying to harm Elissa's son and she worries it is Richard, who is angry it will not be his child who inheirits the estate, as Elissa's son by her first marriage will always be the eldest boy."
