Plot Summary of Daniel's Bride
"In 1877 in Washington Territory Jolie McKibben is moments away from being hung after being falsely accused of bank robbery. Farmer Daniel Beckham rescues Jolie from the hangman's noose by invoking the town's marriage ordinance. By agreeing to marry Jolie, Daniel has saved Jolie from certain death. After being married by the justice of the peace, Daniel and Jolie make their way to Daniel's farm. Daniel questions Jolie about her association with Blake Kingston, the man who committed the crime for which Jolie was accused. Jolie tells her husband that she was left alone in the world after her aunt and uncle died of cholera. Jolie left Spokane with Blake after he promised to find her employment in Washington Territory. Unbeknownst to Jolie, Blake was using her as a pawn in his bid to rob a bank. As Daniel and Jolie settle into married life they both realize that they are developing strong feelings for each other. Jolie sees that underneath Daniel's gruff exterior lies a kind and warm man while Daniel starts to believe that Jolie is innocent of the bank robbery charges. As Daniel and Jolie move closer to declaring their love for each other, dangerous outlaws are on Jolie's trail. "
