Plot Summary of Girl Talk
"Lissy Jablonski is a 29 year old advertising executive who has just found out she is pregnant by her married ex-lover, Peter Kinney. When Lissy's childhood friend and former sweetheart, Church Fiske, arrives in New York city to live with her until he can get on his feet, Lissy is in the middle of a serious life crisis. Lissy has just kicked out her thieving, lying roommate, a Korean stripper named Kitty Hawk. When Church goes to Kitty's strip club to return a few of her clothing items on Lissy's behalf, he ends up falling head over heels and marrying Kitty. Throughout all the turmoil, Lissy can't help but recall the summer of her fifteenth year when her young life was turned upside down by her father's abandonment of the family. Lissy's father Robert, a gynecologist, fell in love with a redheaded bank teller and left his wife of sixteen years and his daughter. After his abandonment, Lissy and her mother Dotty left their New Hampshire home and began a summer road trip filled with exciting characters, heartfelt moments and plenty of girl talk. As Lissy explores the memories of her lost summer she is forced to deal with her present day dilemmas."
