| Plot Summary of A Faerie Ring |
"Elantra has a special connection with the world of fairies, which she develops against her parents' wishes. She learns that she is destined to save the earth from a final conflict between humans, fairies and trolls. Villi is a troll changeling who accepts a mission set by the troll council to destroy Elantra in return for recognition among the trolls, but he is soon torn between his desire for acceptance and his love for the beautiful Elantra. Intrigue and deceit grow as the relationship between the two develops. It appears that Elantra has failed when she gives birth to twins, but as strangers arrive to expose the lies that underlie their relationship, her resolve to fulfill her destiny deepens, and when the trolls attack the homestead in an effort to end the peace, Elantra knows that she must draw on her own strangth, rather than rely on humans and faeries. As darkness grows over the land, Elantra tries to find true love in a broken relationship, for it is this love that will conquer all. Trolls, humans and faeries come together in the final conflict in the Black Forest, where Elantra puts her lessons to the test.
